If you had one wish for the world - what would that be?
Peace Messages/Pledges
![]() In front of the World Peace Flame
On 14th September, we set out to climb Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania by Sept 21st, U.N. Peace Day. On our way to the summit (5,895 metres), we spoke out nearly three thousand Peace Messages. On 21st September, we camped in the crater to speak out a Peace Message from every nation on Earth as part of a Peace Ceremony however fatigue made us sleep early, and a small ceremony was instead held to bury the peace messages in the morning! Due to AMS we spoke out the peace messages at a site 1200m below the peak.
Between us we pulled and carried the tyre holding all the Peace Messages and the World Peace Flame to the top. Thank you to all those for sent us messages and will try to put as many peace messages out on this page. |
